Wild Thing

Madi's got jungle boogie fever in her zebra print dress! Watch out...she's super saucy!
At 8 months Madi:
* talks/sings/screams/gurgles/babbles CONSTANTLY. She is LOUD and PROUD. Last week, my dear neighbor came running over to see if we were okay. I apologized and explained that Madi wasn't mad or sad, she just insisted on screaming at the top of her lungs! He thought I had been screaming in agony and didn't realize a little tot could produce such sounds!
* is on the move! She has never been a big fan of slithering on her stomach, but has found creative ways to get what/where she wants. When a laptop, remote control, or cell phone is on the floor, she can roll her way right over to nab it (technology over toys any day). She is especially fond of scootching on her rump. On her padded behind, she sits and scoots. Her legs help her balance and propel her towards her goal. Wherever I leave her in the living room, she always ends up under the entertainment center where she can play with the stereo, Dad's playstation paddles, and a collection of chords. Oh, it's fun being naughty!
* has begun the crib shenanigans. I am getting pro at decoding her cries, and can always tell when she's been bucking and needs to be rescued any time she hollers her frustrated, "HELP" bellow. She arches her back and bucks her little legs which scoots her to the top of the crib where her head smashes into the bumper and the bellowing begins.
* still loves her white blankie and dives into it when she is sleepy.
* shakes her head from side to side when we do...sooooo cute!
* is still toothless (oh, I love that gummy grin), but slobbers bucket-loads all day so we have to keep her in a bib continuously so she won't get soaked! We've thought she was teething since 3 months, but it is a process!
* loves her daddy! Momma gets up with her for the first feeding in the morning and then she usually takes a little snooze from 8-9. Daddy gets her up and feeds her some solids for breakfast then plays and bonds with her each morning while Mom tries to beat her headache and gear up for the day. Madi loves when Daddy balances her in one hand and whooshes her through the air. She is a dare-devil and especially loves free-falls and having her breath taken away by wind in her face.
* grows more cheerful and pleasant every minute. She has a gigantic personality and a super savvy sense of humor. She is, and has always been, a CHARACTER! She keeps me wildly entertained and I would be so lonely without her.

Princess Pink & Her Precious Parts

Grandma Black does it again! After a wardrobe change, the good times kept a'rollin. I love these close-ups of Madi's many kissable parts--her sweet little face, curly hair, hands, feet, and everything in between! Grandma presented Madison with a beautiful baby bracelet, but most importantly LOTS of love, hugs, and kisses.

The Swinger (G-Rated, of Course)

Madison is a little thrill seeker. She loves when Daddy balances her in one hand and whooshes her through the air. The fast drops really get her squealing. She LOVES wind in her face and getting her breath taken away. She's a lot like the little zip-lining pig on the commercial screaming, "WEEEEEEE," at the top of her little lungs. So, of course, she had the time of her life during her first swinging adventure. We took her to the park on a crisp, January afternoon. Her nose turned pink, but she would've stayed all day if we'd let her. Grandma Black perfectly captured the moment and Madison's pure joy oozes from these pictures. She's one fun kiddo!

January Family Photos

Sorry for the picture OVERLOAD! But how in the world do you choose when each picture is so unique and wonderful?!? My dearest mother, Marcia, is refining her photoshop skills and becoming quite the expert! I am so appreciative of her time and talent. Thank you, thank you, thank you Mom!
